Disney has teamed up with Saudi Arabian fashion designer Razan Alazzouni to create a unique clothing line inspired by the beloved fairy tale character, Snow White.
Handmade in the Middle East, the collection includes clothing for women, boys, and girls between the ages of 2 and 8. The clothing line was launched in honor of Disney’s 100th anniversary and It’s available on the Razan Alazzouni website and select retailers. This is not Alazzouni’s first foray into the children’s clothing market. In March 2020, she released her first-ever children’s collection in collaboration with the Kuwait-based kids’ apparel label Moonchild.
Alazzouni, who was born in Alkhobar, launched her brand in 2008 and is known for her use of silks, free-flowing fabrics, and intricate embroidery. Her work merges premium materials with embellishments, including beading, floral details, and delicate sequin work, with a focus on the garment’s sculptural form. Alazzouni studied art and sculpture at Tufts University in Boston before setting up her design studio with her sisters Salwa and Raya in AlKhobar and later in Riyadh. The designer keeps her business as local as possible, with all manufacturing and operations taking place in the label’s two studios in Saudi Arabia, while the fashion house sources materials from Europe and Japan.
Alazzouni’s creations have dressed many famous figures, including US actresses Elizabeth Banks and Emma Roberts, US socialite Paris Hilton, and US model Kendall Jenner. She recently launched her Ramadan 2023 collection, which features a number of delicate kaftans with playful details.
