In an unexpected surprise, Red Bull announced the return of Soundclash after a four-year hiatus.
Without any details about the participants or the number of shows, Red Bull announced the date of Soundclash 2023, which will take place on May 12th at Mall of Egypt, while waiting for further details to be announced.

The 2023 edition is the fifth in the history of Soundclash Egypt. The first face-off was between two bands, Wust El Balad and Cairokee, in 2013. The second was in 2015 between Cairokee and Sharmoofers, while the third took place in 2017 between Sharmoofers and Massar Egbari. However, the fourth in 2019 was the strongest, with three shows featuring Akher Zapheer and Autostrad, Jadal and Wust El Balad, Sharmoofers and Aziz Marka
Soundclash shows are not like any other concert, as the music played there is unique and cannot be heard anywhere else. Each team presents the other team’s songs in its own way, and plays its own songs with a different arrangement than usual. Finally, they invite one of the big stars to sing with them on stage, and the winner is decided by the final round.
